Mr. Jose Maria Sison
Dear Mr. Sison,
Enclosed I am sending you a copy of a letter with attachments
which I received today by registered mail from the Council of
the European Union.
It is remarkable that I receive this letter because I did not
ask anything from them.
I get the idea that on the side of the Dutch government the
question was asked from the Council whether it (the Council)
wants to maintain the placing [of JMS] on the list and whether
there is now an intention to reconfirm that listing. It is
possible that they got a copy of the discussion that is
currently going on with the Ministry of Finance over the
releasing of incomes and so for that reason I have been
approached. I cannot think of another reason.
In consultation with Dundar, I sent a copy of this letter
to Jan Vermont [Fermon] because he is taking care of your
case with the [European] Court [of Justice].
I think that in consultation with him, we should consider
what our reaction must be.
With friendly greetings,
(Sgd.) Ruud Vleugel
