Dear Compatriots and Friends,
My wife Julie and I express our warmest greetings of solidarity to all the sponsors of the screening of The Guerrilla Is a Poet and to the entire audience who come from the Los Angeles community and the anti-imperialist and democratic formations.
As the principal characters depicted by the film, we address a deep sense of gratitude to the sponsors Bayan-USA Southern California, Red Guards-Los Angeles and Juventud FMLN-Sur de California for making possible the screening of the film.
We hope that by watching the film you can further gain an understanding of the Filipino people’s revolutionary struggle for national liberation and democracy, the leading role of the revolutionary party of the proletariat and the necessity of the people’s war.
We also hope that you will continue to stand in solidarity with the Filipino people and the revolutionary forces and extend to them whatever support you can. The revolutionary struggle in the Philippines is part of the worldwide struggle of the proletariat and people against imperialism and reaction and for a fundamentally new and better world.
Long live the Filipino people and the Filipino communities abroad!
Long live the revolutionary struggle of the people of the world.
Long live the cause of national liberation, democracy and socialism!
