You are playing a crucial role in seeking to arouse, organize and mobilize an important section of the Filipino nation, the more than 8 million Filipinos who have gone abroad to 182 countries to earn a living for their families in the absence of employment for them in the Philippines. The Filipino migrants may be categorized as contract workers (3.05 M), immigrants/residents (2.74 M), undocumented workers (1.62 M) and refugees (500 T, mostly Moro in Kalimantan). They are concentrated in North America (2.5 M), Middle East (1.3 M), Asia-Pacific (1.1 M) and Europe (425 T). more…

I have become acquainted with Indonesian history and current affairs since 1961 when I took a scholarship from the Jajasan Siswa Lokantara. I stayed in Indonesia during the first half of 1962 to study bahasa Indonesia and translate the poems of Chairil Anwar. I went back to Indonesia twice in 1963 and 1964 as a correspondent of the London-based Eastern World and as member of the Afro-Asian Journalists’ Association. more…

In April 2005, the European Court denied Professor Jose Maria Sison’s request to examine files with information on the European Union’s decision to include him on its list of “terrorists.”
Sison is currently the chief political consultant of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP). Before Europe labeled him a “terrorist,” the United States put him on its foreign terrorist list. Dubbing Professor Sison a “terrorist” is part of the US government’s ongoing campaign against revolutionaries all over the world. more…

We wish to clarify the prejudicial questions that have arisen from the actions undertaken by the Government of the Republic of the Philippines (GRP) and the US government to intimidate and pressure the National Democratic Front of the Philippines ( NDFP), obstruct and possibly to scuttle the GRP-NDFP peace negotiations. At the same time, we wish to cite the proposals of the NDFP to resolve said prejudicial questions.
