Stand for Socialism against Modern Revisionism was published in 1992. It is a major document of the Second Rectification Movement and a counter to all the attacks on the socialist cause churned out by the imperialists and the petty bourgeois anti-communists in the aftermath of the rapid full restoration of capitalism in the revisonist-ruled countries.

Have you ever wondered why communists study so much history? It’s not a matter of hobby: it’s a necessity to advance our struggle. Without a good, insightful study of the past, we can easily fall in the trap of having an idealistic understanding of current events. “Stand for Socialism against Modern Revisionism” of Armando Liwanag was published at a time of crisis in the Communist Party of the Philippines, when a faction tried to orient the party towards liquidation, basing it thesis on a biased understanding of the full restoration of capitalism in Eastern Europe/USSR.
