The main contents of the book, Combat Tyranny and Fascism, pertain to the unfolding of the character of the Duterte regime through the GRP-NDFP peace negotiations; the crisis of the world capitalist system, imperialist wars and plunder and the peoples’ resistance; the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution; and the anti-imperialist and democratic mass movement; and tributes to the revolutionary martyrs and heroes.

The book brings together all the significant writings of Prof. Jose Ma. Sison in 2017 in his various capacities: Founding Chairman of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP), Chief Political Consultant of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) in peace negotiations with the Government of the Republic of the Philippines (GRP) and Chairperson of the International League of Peoples’ Struggle (ILPS).
