CALAPAN CITY—President Aquino said there are no negotiations for the return of Communist Party of the Philippines founder Jose Maria Sison, but only talks for a comprehensive peace agreement.

“May negotiations dun sa lalagdaan. Wala pang negotiations doon sa pagbalik niya,” Aquino told reporters after the ceremonial switch on of the electrification program for 45 sitios in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.

Aquino said that Sison can return to the Philippines if there is already a clear agreement between the government and the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army (CPP-NPA) and its political arm, the National Democratic Front, which can be forged and signed.

“Tapos may eleksyon tayo.
