RESOLUTION OF THE SIXTH INTERNATIONAL ASSEMBLY OF THE INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE OF PEOPLES’ STRUGGLE

ON THE DESIGNATION OF JOSE MARIA SISON AS CHAIRPERSON EMERITUS OF THE INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE FOR PEOPLES’ STRUGGLE

Recalling that Jose Maria Sison was the Chairperson of the International Initiative Committee that conceptualized, prepared and founded the International League of People’s Struggle in 2001,

Considering that he served as the General Consultant of the ILPS from 2001 to 2004,

Recognizing his services for 15 years as Chairperson of the ILPS International Coordinating Committee from 2004 to 2019,

Appreciating and honoring him for all the foregoing and valuing highly his continued connection with and further contributions to the ILPS,

We hereby designate Prof. Jose Maria Sison as Chairperson Emeritus of the ILPS, upon the end of his current term as Chairperson of the International Coordinating Committee.

As such, he may be consulted and requested to give advice to the ILPS Chairperson or any ILPS leading organ. He may also take initiative to give advice to the aforementioned. Whenever appropriate, he may be invited to address or grace important events of ILPS.
