Prof. Jose Maria Sison giving a tribute to Willem Geertman at the Old Catholic Church in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Willem Geertman, a Dutch development worker was murdered in the Philippines by motorcycle-riding men believed to be military agents. Despite photos and CCTV videos taken of the suspects fleeing, no arrests have been made. Willem Geertman was very vocal and advocated for land reform for the farmers of Hacienda Luisita. He also opposed the Aurora Pacific Special Ecnomic Zone and Free Port Project in Casiguran, Aurora because of its negative impact on the community and the environment.
