1 January 2011

On behalf of the International League of Peoples’ Struggle (ILPS). I convey warmest greetings of solidarity to the editors, staff and readers of the Worker’s Press as we enter a new year of struggle of the proletariat and people for democracy and socialism against imperialism and all reaction.

We must renew and heighten our resolve to wage revolutionary mass struggles amidst the worsening of the protracted crisis of the world capitalism system. We must lay bare and attack the roots of the capitalist crisis and the danger of war. We must arouse, organize and mobilize the people to end the system of exploitation and oppression.

We must oppose the vicious attempts of US imperialism to perpetuate its hegemony over East Asia and the Pacific by continuing to control and manipulate its puppets in Japan, like the current Kan regime. We must fight vigorously against the US-dictated economic and financial policies and the war provocations being made by the US and its puppets in order to push war production and military spending.

Every imperialist country is now beset by a severe and prolonged social and economic crisis. We welcome the rising resistance of the proletariat and people. The US is conspicuously in decline and the inter-imperialist contradictions are becoming sharper. We are confident that the struggles of the peoples of the world for national and social liberation shall continue to surge forward.

We wish you a happy and successful new year! May you win greater achievements in informing and enlightening your readers and in contributing to the advance of the revolutionary struggle of the Japanese proletariat and people.###
