People’s War in the Philippines is one of the most inspiring struggle going on right now in the world. From the small student group to the large movement that involves millions of people, it had to overcome several challenges that it would not have been able to without a dialectical understanding of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism. “Specific Characteristics of our People’s War” was written by Joma Sison five years after the founding of the Party and People’s Army in the Philippines. It tells us how the movement was able to advance it revolution by creatively applying MLM to the concrete conditions of the Philippines.
